The school is under the surveillance of a team of security guards 24h/24.
During school hours, as well as from the moment the gates open to the moment they close, the team of security guards cooperates with the local police to facilitate the drop off of the children as well as the safe crossing of the street.
The security brigade for the foreign community is constantly present in front of the school. Parents are responsible for their children until they are within the “vie scolaire” area for those in Primary, Elementary and Secondary School and for the 3 to 5 year olds until they are within the playground of the Pre-School.
Car parking next to the school is not recommended, especially at the end of school hours and in particular on Fridays. This is not only for security reasons but also out of respect for our neighbours. Car pooling is encouraged where possible.
LIF external security is managed by 4 POLDA guards who have been designated to LIF (traffic control, parking and security). They wear beige and brown uniforms. Our own security guards (dressed in navy blue and white or black uniforms) and Mr Supito from POLSEK are responsible for the security on the inside of the building and the crossing of children between the two sites. Please respect their advice and show your badge when entering the building.
Members of the school community who arrive by motorbike must get off of their bikes when entering the school premises and push their bikes to one of the two allotted parking areas for two wheelers.
LIF is a non smoking establishment. As part of our anti- smoking campaign it is requested that adults don’t smoke in front of the pre-school or main building in order to set a good example to our pupils.
Punctuality: arriving late is still not acceptable. In order to prevent rushes, extra “Vie Scolaire” office and administration work not to mention the interruption to lessons, we recommend that parents anticipate problems and work out better timings with their children. Drivers and pembantus must be aware of these issues.
Forgotten items; if a pupil forgets something either for class or sport it is requested that parents don’t deliver the items to the school in order to teach the child a lesson. From primary onwards pupils must learn to be organised and learn from their mistakes in order to prevent it from happening again. Thank you for taking this measure so your child can learn to be self-sufficient.
Badges : Badges are provided at the beginning of the school year. They are also used for identification purposes and to order meals. They also make it possible for parents to enter the LIF. Stickers make it possible to park cars around the LIF during rush hours.
Pest Control: The external part of LIF is being treated on a weekly basis and during the holidays both inside and outside controls are carried out.
