The extra-curricular, cultural, sporting, festive and charitable activities are a necessary complement to the pedagogic activities of the French International School.
The activities take place within Clubs which can only function with the effective and voluntary participation of parents and/or teachers, hereafter called “Relais”, who give the Clubs their meaning and life.
Organisation of a Club
A Club is formed on the initiative of one or more people, parents and/or teachers, with the objective of creating an extra-curricular activity within the French International School.
A Club can only exist and function on the condition that one or several parents or teachers become “Relais” for the Club.
Each Club membership is valid for one full school year. The Clubs are independent of each other. The chosen intermediary of the “Relais” is the Co-coordinator of the Club.
The Club activities have to take place between 1.15 pm and 5.30 pm (except Saturdays).
The Role of the “Relais”
The “relais” of each club is responsible for the organization and functioning of his or her Club activities. The “relais” of each Club is responsible for ensuring a parental presence throughout each activity where a paid or voluntary external teacher is working and taking responsibility for the smooth running of the activities.
The presence of a parent or a « Relais » at the exact start time is compulsory. The “Relais” has to plan for the presence of a parent for each session of his/her Club: when the child is signed up for the club, the parent has to commit to being on duty two or three times per year, according to a timetable established by CCLIF. Each ‘Relais” chooses his/her participant in agreement with the Co-coordinator.
The Role of the Co-coordinator
The requests of the different Clubs have to go through the Co-coordinator.
Discipline
The « Relais » are authorized to exclude temporarily a disruptive child, or even to permanently exclude him/her from the Club
Absenteeism
The absence of a child is recorded in the Club folder. Parents are required to give notice of the foreseen absence of their child. If the absence of a child has not been justified by the parents, these persons will be duly notified by telephone.
If the absences are too frequent, the CCLIF reserves the right to reject a child in order to make a place for another child.
Cancellation of an Activity
Outside activities which are cancelled due to rain and are not refunded.
